Equation for Albumin-Corrected Serum Calcium
Here's a link to one of the equations used to calculate the "corrected" serum calcium concentration (corrected for the serum albumin concentration): (http://www.mdcalc.com/calciumcorrection). There are other equations, and some researchers don't think that correction needs to be done in very many people (in very many contexts or disease states, aside from renal failure). But that type of correction might be of interest to someone taking supplemental vitamin D or calcium (http://hardcorephysiologyfun.blogspot.com/2009/01/calcium-magnesium-serum-calcium-vitamin.html).
