Glucose vs. Fructose on Serum Triacylglycerol Levels

Here's one article, out of countless others, showing that dietary fructose leads to more triacylglycerol synthesis in the liver and, in this article, elevates serum triacylglycerol levels more than glucose does:

(pubmed unique id: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/3418415?dopt=Abstract)

I forget the mechanism, but I read about it recently in relation to xylitol, which has similar metabolic effects. I'll try to read some on it, for my own benefit.
